Paladin

Make small minions stronger with buffs and protection. Keep useful attackers alive.

What the class does

Paladin often builds on minions already in play. Buffs raise their stats. Protection helps them live. More minions give you more targets to improve.

A small minion matters for what it might become, not only for its damage now.

Use buffs and shields well

Buffing a minion that can attack may let it win a trade right away. Protecting it may let it attack for several more turns.

Divine Shield stops one hit of damage. A shield that stops a large hit can help more than one lost to a small hit.

Putting many buffs on one minion carries a risk. One enemy answer may remove all that work at once.

Choices to think about

Should you improve a minion you have or play a second one? Compare the board you get now and the answer the enemy is likely to use.

Do not save a shield just for its own sake. Spending it to kill a dangerous minion while yours lives may be the best choice.

Strengths and weak spots

Paladin can turn small minions into strong, lasting threats. But buffs are awkward when you have no minion to use them on. Build enough to carry out your plan, and keep a way to rebuild after a clear.

See Deck Types for general game plans such as aggro, control, and combo.
