35.0 — Core refresh and the Year of the Scarab
The March 10 patch prepares CATACLYSM. The set and the new Standard year begin on March 17.
Released March 10, 2026
The notes appeared March 9. They give separate dates for the client patch and the expansion.
The new Standard year
The Year of the Scarab starts with CATACLYSM on March 17. Standard rotation and Core and Event pool changes happen that day. Core card text changes arrive earlier, with the March 10 patch.
CATACLYSM has 135 cards. It adds Herald, Shatter, new Colossal minions, and the Deathwing hero card. The full set enters Standard on March 17.
Signature collection change
Getting a duplicate Legendary Signature now offers a reroll into a Golden Legendary from the same set. This changes collecting, not card power or legality.
This is the rotation starting point for the 2026 archive. Check Core membership by year. Owning an older copy alone does not make a card legal now.
