36.6 — M.O.T.H.E.R. arrives early

Released September 15, 2026

Logging in gives the Legendary M.O.T.H.E.R. card. The rest of Reign of the Black Empire is not part of this early release. The full set is scheduled for October 20.

Card fixes and rewards

• Medivh's Triumph no longer gets the wrong cost after Soul Immolation.
• Minions that target cards in hand can be played with no valid hand target, where intended.
• The Black Market runs September 15–October 13. Its rewards include Signature Taelan Fordring. You can earn its currency until October 6. The last week is for spending it.

Ranked quest chain — September 29 to October 20

A two-step Legendary Quest Chain is now active. Play Ranked games to earn one Reign of the Black Empire pack, then one Golden Reign of the Black Empire pack. These rewards do not make the full set playable before its October 20 release.

Event cards start October 6

A second event is scheduled for October 6–20. Its rewards list two copies each of Arrival of the Old Gods, Arrival of the Titans, and Dark Terraforming in regular and Golden versions. These cards can be used before the full set launches, but they are not playable before October 6.
