Token / Flood

Build many small minions, use buffs well, and leave room to summon. Learn how token and flood decks trade, manage space, and rebuild after clears.

Token and flood decks fill the board with small minions. Together, they can deal damage, gain board-wide buffs, or leave a second wave after a clear.

One small minion may not matter much. Several make every effect that buffs your whole board better. Try to keep enough alive for that reward.

Plan around seven spaces

Count spaces before each summon. Deathrattle or Reborn effects may fill a space again during the play. A large summon can be wasted on a crowded board.

Make useful trades first if you need space. Do not throw away good attackers only to replace them with a board that looks fuller.

Check when to buff. A buff before combat may let your minions survive trades. A buff after summoning may hit more minions. Compare damage now with the risk of waiting another turn.

An Aura's source can be removed. Know which stats your minions would lose if that happens.

Strengths and weak spots

Many minions can overwhelm answers that hit one target. A small lead can become a sudden win with buffs.

Area damage, repeated clears, and lack of board space can stop you. Save cards to rebuild when a clear is likely. But playing too little forever gives the enemy time too. Judge the damage race, the likely clear, and your next way to fill the board.

To build synergy groups, balance minion makers, buffs, and cards that rebuild after a clear.
