Use a reliable turn checklist
Plan your whole turn before your first move. Check for a win, deal with danger, and put your actions in the right order.
Five quick checks
- Can I win now? Count damage, Mana, Taunt minions, and legal attacks.
- What is the main danger? Look for an enemy win or a minion that gets stronger if left alone.
- What are two good plans? Compare whole turns. You might play minions, remove a threat, draw, or set up a combo.
- Does the order work? Check costs, targets, hand space, and board space.
- Did I miss an action? After your plan, check attacks, Mana, and any power you meant to use.
Compare the next board
With five Mana, you could play a four-cost minion. Or you could use a three-cost removal spell and play a two-cost minion.
Spending all five Mana is not enough to prove the second play is best. Does the enemy minion need to die? Which plan leaves a better board? Which plan helps you win?
Use your time well
You do not need the full turn timer for every choice. Save more thought for turns with many options.
After the game, compare your first idea with the play you chose. Ask what made you change your mind. Do not judge a turn only by how much Mana you spent.
