Position minions for the effects that matter
Where you put a minion can change a turn. Check effects that use nearby minions or one side of the board.
Placement can matter
Some cards help the minions next to them. Others damage a target and its neighbors. The best spot depends on the cards in this game.
Do not always put your best minions at the edges. An edge may protect against one kind of damage. A spot in the middle may be needed for a useful buff.
Plan your own effects
Put minions where they can get the buffs you need. Think about your trades too. When a minion leaves the board, two other minions may become neighbors. New summons can change the layout again.
Then check enemy effects. A cleave-style attack may hit one minion and both its neighbors. Placing several weak, useful minions together can make one attack much stronger.
Check the actual pattern
Suppose you have two useful minions with low Health and a less useful minion with high Health. Putting the large body between them does not always keep them safe. An effect aimed at the middle may still hit both neighbors.
Check which targets the enemy can choose and where the damage goes. A “buffer” only helps if the real effect makes it help.
Keep it simple
Ask whether either deck has a nearby-minion effect that matters. If not, use a layout you find easy to follow. Recheck when a new card shows that position matters.
